What is the name of your state? tennessee

i have a friend who has been having an online affair...mostly through yahoo instant messaging..he is trying to track her down, can he legally gains access to the computer, and if so, will they be able to pull any old instant messages off the computer is there is no spy program on it?

My guess is that the "he" who is trying to track her down is the cyber sex partner. Friend is afraid he'll find her outside of the cyberworld and want the real thing.

If she doesn't already have some spyware tracking software, now might be a good time to look into it, and add a firewall. I clean spyware off my system constantly and have it immunized against lots of other spyware.

ah but Nexie, a firewall is only as good as the encryption alogrythm on the chip...

and firewalls can be attacked :D:D:D

he can also do a reverse lookup with her e-mail address to get her home address.
