What is the name of your state? Maryland

I work in a sales support position for several account executives - I do the same job for all of them and have tried to handle myself in the same manner with all of them. There is one AE that is always extremely condescending when he speaks to me or any of the other people in my position - I've discussed how uncomfortable this behavior makes me feel with my manager, but nothing has changed. I've already made the decision to look for other employment because this is not an environment I want to work in. Am I missing anything I could do to fix my current job - I really like the job and the other people I work with, but this one jerk makes me not want to show up for work every day

Thanks in advance

Nothing in the law makes condescending behavior illegal. Nothing in the law says that all your co-workers/managers have to be nice.

It's entirely up to you if you want to let this one person ruin the job for you, but the law is not going to force him to change his behavior or force the employer to make him change it.

Especially since "condescending" may be subjective and not absolute. Some workers may view what you call condescending as regular or marginally acceptable behavior. Some may also consider it not important enough in the big picture to act on. If you feel this one issue is enough to quit your job for, then you should and continue to look for that perfect job...

If other people in your position aren't complaining about the AE, your manager may think the problem's with you.
