What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california

in california, my dad lived with a women who owned a condo. my dads name is not on the lease, although i dont know if she had to notify the HOA of his living with her. They lived together for 15 years. My father had to pay for many repairs to the condo. Someone told me that because they lived together so long, and he had to pay for repairs, he may have part ownership now? Is that correct? Does anyone know of other states that do this?

Stop listening to that someone.

Since when do condo owners who live in their units have to sign a lease with the HOA?
