What is the name of your state? Minnesota

Good morning.
I have a dear friend who lost custody of a child to the father of the child. The interests of the parent awarded the custody clearly appear to be anger generated and this child is stuck in the middle with a great amount of confusion. The decision for who gets custody was determined by a custody evaluator in Anoka County Minnesota. In doing a bit of research, I am finding discrepancies in this case as well as a few others that have happened in this county with this particular evaluator. Without going into specifics at this time, can anyone provide me some history of custody evaluators in this county and state? Can I state the name of this evaluator on this forum board as well? It is not my intent to take sides here and judge either parent, I am concerned for this 4 year old child! Can anyone help me out here?

Thank you baystategirl! I figured it best not to state any names. Perhaps when I am a bit more familiar with this forum and comfortable with the good folks on here, I will go into more specifics about this situation (without tossing out names). I strongly feel from my heart that an injustice has happened here and as I mentioned, the 4 year old child is the person that will suffer the long term effects of this. The daycare provider questioned the father on why he was being so harsh, strict, and demanding in this whole case to which he replied, I hate her (meaning my friend and the mother of the child)! His attitude appears to be more revenge driven than anything else. The child was pulled from a daycare he was familiar with and a loving mother and from what I have witnessed, the better parent of the two. Again, I won't fill a page with specifics but I am a bit angered at the whole evaluator process. This whole thing is not right!

This is your opinion and quite frankly your biased opinion does not matter. The custody evaluator has more information than you do so you cannot state that an injustice has taken place.

I didn't come here to argue, I came for help and support. I have seen the evaluator's evaluation, all the court documents, the history of the father, the history of the mother, and especially the past record of this particular evaluator. Many things were overlooked in this evaluation and never fully investigated. Collateral witnesses on both sides were never interviewed or brought to court. The father is a convicted felon who did 70 months in prison and 10 years probation. The father is a confessed meth user. The father is a known alchoholic but will not accept that fact. The father has custody bet yet the mother for the 4 years of this childs life has done everything including dental visits, doctor visits, therapy visits, hair cuts, nail trimmings, clothing purchases...the list goes on and on. The mother has a past history of depression and not of a severe extent. As I mentioned, I am not here to trade words or fight, I am here for help. My interests lie more with the child than anything else. Yes, perhaps I am biased but truly believe from my heart that this was not right!

You are not a party to this case. You can do nothing. And this is NOT a support site.

I have seen the evaluator's evaluation, all the court documents, the history of the father, the history of the mother, and especially the past record of this particular evaluator.
How have you seen all these things?Evaluator's evaluation is normally confidential.

Many things were overlooked in this evaluation and never fully investigated.
Why didn't the mother present that then? It is not the evaluator's job to present all evidence for the mother. It is the mother's job.

Collateral witnesses on both sides were never interviewed or brought to court.
so why didn't mom subpoena her witnesses and bring them to court to testify?

The father is a convicted felon who did 70 months in prison and 10 years probation. The father is a confessed meth user. The father is a known alchoholic but will not accept that fact.
So why did mom have a child with him? Almost 6 years in prison and 10 years probation? How old is the child? Was dad in prison or on probation when mom decided to have a child with him since this child is only four years old? When did dad use meth? When was dad an alcoholic? When did mom and dad separate? Were they married? There are big gaps here.

The father has custody bet yet the mother for the 4 years of this childs life has done everything including dental visits, doctor visits, therapy visits, hair cuts, nail trimmings, clothing purchases...the list goes on and on.
How did dad get custody? What was the reason? Was mom denying dad time with his child? There is a lot more here.

The mother has a past history of depression and not of a severe extent.
So what else has mom done or not done? What are you not stating?

As I mentioned, I am not here to trade words or fight, I am here for help.
And truthfully without details we can do nothing. You have given us no details. All of the facts are important. Apparently there was a finding stating that dad was an appropriate parent to have custody.

My interests lie more with the child than anything else. Yes, perhaps I am biased but truly believe from my heart that this was not right!
No, you are definitely biased. You minimize mom's problems while concentrating on dad's. Your opinion again matters not. Now would you like to back up your allegations with FACTS as to why the court ruled this way and answer my questions?

Nevermind...just as I was warned by others...this sight turns into a mixing of words by people on your end that seem to think they are far superior to anyone that posts. My apololy for wasting your time!
