consent for marriage

My 16 year old lives in Polk County, Florida. She has a
permenant Injunction for Domestic Violence on her dad.
She is seeking to get married and has my consent. Does
she need her dad's consent too? The divorce papers state
"shared parenting".

Why on earth are you consenting to a 16 year old CHILD to get married ??

Long story. Her dad is trying to get her emancipated so he
doesn't have to pay support. She constantly is running
away and I can't keep her home and I can't find anyone to
help me. She says she is in love and is planning to get
pregnant.

Bottom line? If she got married it would certainly get dad off the hook for child support as that would be an emancipating event. Therefore I doubt she would have any problem getting dad's consent.

However mom, you might look into some counseling to see how you might be able to take back control of your wayward teen...and you really might seriously reconsider giving her consent to get married.
