What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OH

I have a decent amount of debt(~20k) including a garnishment-to which i've already paid 3k out of 11k that is actively attached to my wages.

I also have around 60k in private student loans. I have been actively trying to pay down my debts, but in the economy, I've had difficulty staying afloat and paying anything down.

I am considering chapter 7 BR.

What would be the best route to go about this? Do I need an attorney? I have no assets, except for a car that is BB value 2700 bucks. I have had significant reduced pay cut this year (10k) that puts me barely above minimum wage. This was the only option, unless I wanted to be unemployed.

I am currently searching for higher paying jobs, but I don't see one in the future for me. I have sent out numerous resumes.

I know I have to take a credit counseling course before I file, but what can be expected of me when I file.

I know basically student loans are not able to be included on BR, except when it causes undue hardship. Is it possible to consolidate to pay around 100 a month, because outside of that, I can't see me being able to make a dent into it unless I obtain a better paying job.

If anyone has any guidelines to help, I'd appreciate it.
