I was hit with a falling brick from a building in downtown chicago as I walked past a construction site. The brick fell from the result of tuckpointing being done on the roof. I have about $1,300 in medical bills and missed two and a half days of work.
I have some injuries to my muscles, but otherwise I am ok. Actually, I'm luck to be alive.

Does anyone know about how much I'm entitled to if I decide to sue (in addition to medical expenses)? I have to see a physical therapist once a week for about 4-5 weeks.

so sorry for your injuries and you are right that considering what happened, you re very lucky. As far as what is your claim worth? thew answer is that there is simply no magic formula. Many factors go into such an analysis; it includes the ability to prove negligence on the part of another party as no matter how serious the injuries, if the facts do not support a claim such as those founded in negligence, there can be no recovery. It aalso includes the hospital, medical and wage loss for the past and it can include the future meds that likely to be incurred and the future earnings impact. However, for future damages a victim usually needs testimony from treating docs as to the nature and extent of the injuries, as to the permanency of the injuries and as to the limitations caused by an injury; it will also depend on how conservative juries are in an area and on the strength and credibility of the treating docs and the victim; the fact is that as two people can have the same injury and the same meds yet they be worth different amounts as the impact can be different and as jurors can react differently. With all these factors going into a claim, it would be prudent to consult wih an experienced injury attorney in your area.
Good luck!

Do you have any idea (roughly) of how much I can collect though? (maybe even the minimum)? (see construction accident posting)...

$5,000...10,000...40,000???? I have no idea.

I'm not looking for a ton of money, just what's fair. They were extremely negligent.
