What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington

I just got pulled over for the first time. I was speeding in a construction zone 38mph in a 25. The officer said she was pulling people over becuase flaggers are getting hit and injuired. She commented on how old my truck is. Looked at the vin. Asked me where I was going, if it was home? I said No, Hospital. She did not believe me.
And she gave me a ticket. I said I have never gotten a ticket before or been pulled over and asked for a warning. She said I can sit in the hospital and read the ticket.

I said I was sorry. And that it would not happen again. But she said there giving tickets out to everyone speeding. Someone else got a ticket right after me.

I live in the State of Washington.

Is there anyway of getting out of this. Did the officer do anything illegal.
Such as comment on my vehicle saying "Wow, this is a really old truck" I said its a "yeah, its a 96"

A cop said I was speeding but I dont believe so. There was 3-4 other cars driving infront of her and me going the other direction when she said she clocked me.

Can this be accurate. Can she prove this in court.

Also she said she clocked me a block earlier also. Can she issue a ticket where she said I was speeding OR where she turned on her lights?

On the ticket she said she clocked me a block earlier, but in order to do that the scanner would have to read my speed behind fences (at a slant that you cant see through) and light poles. In which in her position the scanner or vision would not be able to see me.

I really just wanted a warning. And was nice and genenuinely sorry.

What do I do. Is there anyway of getting this dismissed?

Thank you!!!

The officer did nothing illegal. I don't know why you would think so.

Of course it can be accurate and of course she can prove it in court.

It doesn't matter in the least where she turned on her lights.

On the ticket she said she clocked me a block earlier, but in order to do that the scanner would have to read my speed behind fences (at a slant that you cant see through) and light poles. In which in her position the scanner or vision would not be able to see me.
What scanner? If you are referring to radar then you have no idea how radar is used. Slants, fences, light poles... you are grasping at straws.

That's nice, but it's not a defense or justification for speeding. You are not entitled to a warning because you are "nice".

You seem to think there is some magic bullet here which will result in an automatic dismissal of the charge against you. You are wrong.

If you have some solid, legal basis for contesting the charge then maybe you'll win, but it appears that you do not. Not only that, it would seem that you are not capable of even presenting your side of the situation in court in any meaningful way. My opinion is that you need an attorney if you want to have any hope of winning here.
