I was going to have someone build an addition onto my house. Nothing was put in writing, no firm estimate given. I went as far as to say that I looked forward to having the person perform the work, and an initial price was discussed but no final number given.

The relationship with the person has since soured. When informing the person that I may not want to continue the relationship, the person got confrontational and is threatening legal action. Is it possible for this person to sue me for any type of breach of contract? Thanks!
