I LIVE IN NEW JERSEY. IF I FILE BANKRUPTCY AND MY HUSBAND DOESN'T, HE IS ONLY RESPOSIBLE FOR HIS HALF OF OUR DEBT? HOW ARE THE AMOUNTS DETERMINED? THE WAY IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME, THE CREDITORS WOULD BE ABLE TO GO AFTER HIM FOR THE WHOLE AMOUNT OF OUR DEBT. HELP PLEASE!

If you file and the debt is listed as joint then, hubby becomes reponsible for the entire amount.
