Has the President signed the new bill into effect where you can no longer eliminate debts through bankruptcy?

Home Guru is correct. The new law {if passed} will make it harder and more expensive and time consuming to file bk but, bankruptcy will be available. It will take afffect 6 months after the President signs the legislation. Right now, it hasn't even made it to a joing House-Senate conference. Go to http://www.clla.org for an update and an explanation of what the bill contains.
