Should I file for contempt of court because my ex-husband (the custodial parent) has denied me visitation and any type of corispondence with my son even though the court orders say i can visit at any time by giving at least 24 hours notice and am encouraged to call my son as often as possible?

Yes, you need to file a motion to show cause and have all of your attempts at visitation documented.. at the same time you can file for the change in custody as LB suggested with an attorney. You can also ask that your ex be held responsible for all fees to your atty and the court should he be found in contempt.
