I hope I can make this brief. I think my husband should contest his Mother's will. She passed away last month. Her will was made in Feb/2001, several months after she was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease. She was not able to care for herself since July/2000. One of my husbands sisters had quit her job last year, and moved in to care for their Mother. Recently we learned that my husband was not named in the will at all. The caregiver sister claims everything has been left to her, and then the remainder of the daughters. She is the youngest of four girls, and my husband is the very youngest and only male. This (caregiver) sister also claims she is the executor, but she had stepped out of the room when that part was written. She told me that recently all of the resentment has surfaced because my husband was the only male and favored child. Yet he was not named in the will? She has taken advantage of my husbands grief, and he believes it was an honest mistake, and she claims she will give him some things anyway. She constantly changes her story regarding the value of things. Telling my husband there is nothing of value, and that bills need to be paid. I think he has every right to contest this? What do you think?
