Florida. I entered into a contract with a check cashing lender. I forgot about borrowing the money and it never got paid. I recently received a phone call from a "lawyer" representing the business that I borrowed from. First thing the amount that they claim I borrowed was over three-hundred dollars. Which is untrue. Secondly, from the time the loan defaulted to the time I received the phone call was well over the statute of limitations in my state. Do you believe this was an attempt to get me to reengage therefor starting the statute of limitations over? I did not admit to borrowing the amount or any amount because they claimed an amount that I did not borrow. Should I do anything about this situation or just ignore it because of the statute of limitations?
