my fiance & I are getting married in pennsylvania. we put down a $500 deposit on a reception site. the $500 deposit was only to secure the date which is 1 year & 1/2 away on oct. 5th, 2002, however the contract states that if we cancel we forfeit all money as liquidation. We are not keeping the contract because we are unhappy with their polices & wedding packages. they are also going to under go renovation & they are, quote " not sure how they will renovate but hope that it should be done by our wedding date".
the question is. is there a way to get back the $500 deposit or any part of it?

please respond & thank you
