in 1993 i purchased a vehicle through gmac smart buy program.i received the contract at work, was ask to sign here and there, and that they would send me a copy. i never received the contract. i was told that at the end of my contract that i was to turn in my used vehicle. i was instructed to pay for any repairs on the vehicle, which my insurence and i did. then i was to sign a new contract on a new vehicle and drive off. this was on a friday evening. i signed a new contract on a new pickup, and drove off. monday am the dealer called and informed me that gmac had refused my application because of bad credit(it's not good), so i returned the vehicle and went down to the bank and got financing for a different vehicle. 1 yr and 4 months later i get a call from gmac that yhey had to auction off my vehicle because i did not re-up for anew vehicle, which i tried to do. now they say i owe $8600.00 but they will cut me a deal and pay $4150.00. i do not know what to do. do i have any case not to pay this fine? please write me! lefty
