Texas - My contractor added a deck/patio cover and upon
completion he added $2,000 of add-ons. There were no change orders signed. He has threatened me with a lein. What are my rights? Is there a mediator that can help us resolve this?

Read your contract to see if there is a mediation/arbitration clause.
If you approved the add-ons and knew about it but did not stop construction, you may be liable. If you think that the add-ons look good/increase the value of the property, why not pay for it.
