Hi all, am looking for some advice for a possible small claims case. To keep it short, I hired a contractor on 8/18/2011 to install and connect the main gas line to our new home. I paid the contractor $3325.00 in full and he placed the gas line in the ground but here in Pennsylvania you need to have a master plumber connect it to the house, which was included in the price. However the plumber has been giving the contractor the run around and it is now 11/15/2011 and my house is completed but we can't move in because we have no heat. The contractor keeps giving me excuses, so I feel I have no choice but to file in small claims court to try and recoup my money so I can hire another contractor to do the job.

My question is should I hire an attorney to represent me or should I represent myself? Thanks in advance.

You don't need an attorney for small claims court.
