What is the name of your state? Louisiana
I have been in bk for 2 1/2 yrs. now. My plan was for 5 yrs., but my secured creditor are almost paid out. I think that I may have 6 months left on the secured part and the 2 yrs. remainding would be unsecured. Is it possible to convert to a 7? and what would happen with my secured creditors? With the way the economy is today it is getting harder to make the payments that are scheduled in the plan. How would I be affected by converting to a chapter 7 now?

Yes you can convert to a Ch 7. If you're close to getting your secured creditors paid off, it might be worth it to wait until then to convert. Converting would get the unsecured off your back completely.
