I ordered cookware at a home show, and decided past the 3 day cooling off period that I did not wish to spend $1500 for the product. The contract has a statement that a 30% restocking fee will be charged on all defaulted contracts. Is there any way out of this?

My response:

Not if you're an adult, and it was written in the contract, and you signed that contract. Sorry.
