What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NY

Please read thru to understand both the factual and emotional aspect of the nightmare and mental ABUSE that my family is enduring. I could've posted this in landlord/tenant, but is specifically related to a coop.
We have lived in this coop for 12 years, NEVER missed a maintenance pmt, and were warned by outsiders NOT to move into this complex where the board and management are nothing short of modern-day ****s. I do not exaggerate the harassment by a certain few tenants, supers, new manager, and an unscrupulous rubber-stamp board that are guilty of violating our human rights, retalitory eviction, defamement, harrassment, abuse, and attempt to steal our only asset and kick me and my small children out on the street.
I am ready to goto the Supreme Court of the US if necessary, our local officials, and the press. This is a course that I did not choose nor want. In fact, b/c of this on-going harrassment, we have tried to sell our unit for the last year, but the economy was bad, and the board has thus rejected our buyers.
Now we've been served w/a 30day notice of termination of our lease, and threat to seize our property. I KNOW THAT I NEED AN ATTY YESTERDAY, and have been to some appointments - by the end of this week we will retain someone.
This has been such a headache, we would be happy to settle before court - we feel we will win in court - but don't have the resources to do this as my husband has recently become unemployed. All we want is a little breathing room to sell our unit, as we have proof we've been trying to get out on our own. We want out, they want us out - you'd think this is possible. However, we have reason to believe they are in it to take control of the unit and foreclose on it, and just want to rub our faces in the torture.
So now the allegations. They are exaggerated, over-inflated, and blatant lies. I am hesitant to get into specifics, as this is a public forum. My husband has been physically assaulted by the super and tenant, and they have conspired to start these proceedings. These tenants have outright LIED about us, our children and are setting us up. In fact, we have good reason to believe that they have sent these tenants into hiding until the proceedings commence and holding these miserable folks as witnesses. They are NOT anywhere to be found!
We are good hard-working young middle-class people, who haven't done a bad thing to anyone in our lives. We have been taken advantage of to no end, supers in and out of our apt for on-demand inspections, the security and staff constantly hang out by our door and follow us around on the grounds. The super has threatened my husband's life, and said "he's going to get us" We went to and gave the new mgr the benefit of the doubt, so didn't call the cops that time. We are scared to come out, as ALL the neighbors know what's going on and the lies that have been spread about us. Our children are not allowed to play outside. My 6-year old daughter keeps asking if the bad people are going to take away our home. I have been to doctors over the last month with stress triggered asthma (I never had this before), and cannot breathe. I can't sleep at night, I am crying 24/7, and have seen my husband break down in tears to what these SOB's are doing to us.
I have collected several signatures of original tenants as character reference, who want us to stay, and even people who have had similar incidents with these particular tenants. Nonetheless the Board has voted, and refer us to their attorney. These are shameless hypocrites in the building who have so many violations of their own articles themselves, but have chosen to do a thorough hit-job on my family. It is NOT a kid-friendly complex, and even feel discriminated against.
Where is the justice? This is supposed to be America? How can they get away with this? I want to run as far away and quickly as possible, but they have trapped me, and now forcing us into court. The board has no desire to listen to the truth, and refused to do anything about this. We brought them a bottle of dirty brown water, where my kids have to bathe, and they threw us out.
We are racing against the clock to sell the apt, but the catch-22 is they must get board approval. I'd be happy to get out, but will not forfeit my only asset that we worked so hard to acquire. We owe NO mortgage and have the title free and clear. That's what makes this a tempting "land-grab."
At this point, it really seems that it's NOT enough to just get out, but to expose these dirty corrupt individuals for who they are, to shame them in the public eye. If I had the strength and the resources, they should be sued and countersued for the "crimes" and treachery they have committed against me and my family. Please advise ASAP! We need a good atty, but one that could try to settle BEFORE litigation, protect our rights now and in court, monitor and handle the sale of our unit. Again, my husband is between jobs.
They can't just break into my unit and dispossess us without a court order, right??
