Coop Wants to Evict Us....

If this weren't a serious issue, it would almost be an obscene joke.
There are many details, but will try to minimize the specifics.
I've lived in this coop with my husband for almost eleven years, and have 3 kids. We are professional,college educated working individuals, and have NEVER missed a maintenance payment. We own it outright (no mortgage)
Mostly live here, old, retired, childless people. This is a VERY CHILD UNFRIENDLY building.
One "woman", and I use that term loosely, has continuously harassed us, particularly my husband, and actually swung at him one time, rammed a shopping cart into his leg, and called the cops saying that he hit her. She is nasty, confrontational, and obscene to me and my husband in the elevator.
She complained one time when he did the laundry using all the machines, and complains to management. (Next time he will get a restraining order) So, who cares? We would chalk this up to a crazy old jealous b-tch, but she happens to be on the board and is a "tenant rep". We understand that she had "collected" some signatures from some of our other "favorite" neighbors, like the one below us, who reports us for leaks beyond our control, mgmt constantly fine us, and likes to call the cops, and had us before the board when "it" first moved in to complain about noise, while I was pregnant. Board said too bad, nothing to do. Other than kids, we are quiet, don't bother anybody. BTW, we complained about them, b/c they do drugs in their apt, and the smell wreaks into ours!! (and they want US out??!!!)
My son, who is ADHD, had a phase where he'd call 911, and had 2-3 visits by the police,ems & fire dept. We informed the precinct of our issues, and now turned off the phones, and hide them.
So, when I went directly to the mgmt office, with a GALLON of brown dirty water, to complain, they refused to talk to me, and referred me to their atty.
I called the attorney, who said they have a list of "nuisances" by our kids (my son) and want to file eviction proceedings. One issue sited cops coming to the building (they only came to our door). Each incident was a glorious show for the nosy neighbors. We have this under control, but still using this as an excuse to get us out.
We would like to quietly settle, because, we WANT TO GET OUT, and have been searching for a new place to live for the last year. We've been miserable here. We can't bring our kids out to play around the grounds, b/c everybody is watching and looking to complain, the manager is a lazy no-good do-nothing (never in the office), the maintenance staff and security continuously use OUR recreation area to exercise, play pool (that my maintenance pays for).
We're followed around the maintenance staff and super who are nasty, unresponsive. etc., etc. My kids bathe in brown water, the temperature goes scorching hot/cold,we've had the heating dept over for lack of heat, they refused to give us an exterminator until we threatened legal action. (Basically they are in "violation of warranty of hability" which I learned from the city)
I would fight this all the way to the SUPREME COURT, but we want to and have to sell our apartment (afraid that a court case would delay this process)
and really have better use of our time and money to raise our kids!! WE WANT OUT, as much as they want us out. They completely are going on what this "tenant rep" is doing.

The question is, can they REALLY evict us on this basis??? What court would kick out a working mom/dad who pay their maintenance ontime, and three small children???
