I am a foster parent, and just found out the owner of the agency I just left is blaming me for a lot of things. She's telling people I'm getting others to leave, which is a lie. She's also saying I'm the source of information, that I'm not. I would like to get a copy of my personnel file, but she is crazy and won't give anything to someone that has "left her" This lady really puts her foster parents thru torture. How can I legally get her to give me a copy of my file? I'm really scared she has put a lot of untrue negative remarks in it. Thank you.

Generally speaking you are only entitled to a copy of those documents in your personnel file that you have signed. All other documents in there you don't have a right to have a copy made. You can though arrange to view them at a mutually convenient time and place. Usually the viewing of your personnel file is done at the human resources department of the employer. Since you are having trouble with the former employer obeying the law, you can certainly arrange to get a copy of the signed documents in the file by using an attorney. So if you want to, you can speak with an employment law attorney near you. You may find one at attorneypages.
