Dear Free Advice, I'm creating web sites to display some of my writings and eventually to sell them. I need to know if my writings and web site are protected when I put a copyright statement on the bottom of the pages. Some of the writings haven't been officially copyrighted so I want to refrain from displaying them until I know they are safe. Also, is there a copyright fee for protecting my web site and what is it and how do I copyright it since I can't send the copyright office a copy of it because it's created through a company on the web? I hope that's specific enough for you.
