California:

I had recently sold a Playstation unit on Ebay that had copied games to a person in Germany. He was not happy with the unit and is know threatening me that I could go to jail for copyright infringement. He has the Playstation and all the games and he has also said that it came with only half of the games thay I told him it had. I am worried that he is going to keep the Playstation and all the games while scaring me into giving him his money back. I would also like to point out that he is a Sargent in the U.S. Military I am not sure if this makes a difference. Please help.:(

Tell him to come to California and try to sue you. He can't sue you in Germany (well he could but it wouldn't do any good) and the cost to come to the states more than once would far exceed any monetary award he would receive. This genarally goes against keeping my replies on the up and up but as far as the copyright infringement issue, if contacted, deny everthing. Blame in on customer that is trying to railroad you into a refund you do not have any legal reason to give.
