What is the name of your state? Oregon

Several months ago I had several CDs stolen from my car. Is it illegal to download the songs from someplace like Kazaa to replace these CDs? In most cases I still have the original CD cases...

Also, Is it illegal to download MP3s of cassettes that I own?

Yes to both cases.

The Napster decision basically forecloses any use of file sharing when the works in question are covered by copyright.
