I am still confused about pre-existing? A friend of ours was diagnosed with cancer a few days ago. Her husband changed jobs several months ago. The new insurance company is claiming that the illness is a pre-existing condition. With the way Americans change jobs (every three years in high tech), nearly every ailment could be considered pre-existing. What are the rules for pre-existing?
