What is the name of your state? OH
I was recently incarcerated and a CO was reading my mail, and afterwards was looking up information on the internet about people who were writing me letters and was talking about these people to other inmates I was incarcerated with. This CO also gossiped about other inmates and their actions. Is this conduct legal? I had also mentioned to this CO who was administering my meds that my medication was not reordered and I would be out in a day, and she told me that if I were to run out that she would let me lick the grinder they used for my meds. How far can they go with taunting you as an inmate? How far can they go?

How about you stay out of trouble and you will never have to know how far they can go.

Nothing that you stated thus far is illegal. Mean, Petty, childish, perhaps, but not illegal.

Prisoners do not have full Constitutional rights. They are protected, under Amendment VII, from cruel and unusual punishment. They have the right to due process. They are protected against unequal treatment on the basis of race, creed, sex, religion, et al. They have the right to medical care. And they have limited rights to speech and religion.

Prisoners also have the right to complain about prison conditions, and they have the right of access to courts to air these complaints.

Prisoners rights are generally left to the discretion of prison officials.

If you were not in prison, what the corrections officer did could be considered an invasion of privacy. But you are in prison, and you have no privacy to invade.
