Can you provide me information on my rights as a landowner? It appears as though the county in which I live (Scott County) is proposing a 4 lane county road instead of the existing 2 lane county road.

1) If this is a divided highway, are there limits as to how many driveways can be placed along a section of road?

2) If the county makes the road wider, do I have any rights as a property owner to be compensated for any property loss?

I have a multitude of questions and concerns. I will start with the 2 questions above. Can anyone help me out here by answering some questions or steering me to a website that might explain "right of way" and all it encompasses?

I dont believe so but local zoning may control something like that. Contact your local zoning office.

This would fall under eminent domain and you should receive just compensation for the property loss. However just compensation is not decided by the landowner but by other factors.
