California: A couple doing business as a corporation signed a note that was due May 1, 2004, and they are now devorcing. Both of their signatures are on the note.

I don't want to wait for a year for them to settle things. What can I do?

Sue them ?? Divorce carries no automatic stay on debt collection, if both their names are on the agreement, put both names on the lawsuit !

A couple doing business as a corporation...
What exactly do you mean? If they incorporated, then the corporation is a legally separate entity. If the corporation owes you money, then you cannot (normally) sue the individual owners.

If they simply filed a fictitious business name and obtained credit, then they are still on the hook individually.
