What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VT. Here is a new question civil trial court sets a date for jury pick then after two weeks of us getting witnesses, taking vacation time from work, etc the court cancels the date due to an error on their part (attorney on vacation that week)(also, this is the second time continued in last 6 months) , does the plaintiff have recourse or does plaintiff have to wait "another" 6 months? Are all these continuances unconstitutional to rights to speedy trial by jury? Thanks. :)

Only criminal cases have a constitutional right to speedy trial.
