What is the name of your state? WI
I have filed for bankruptcy and should be recieving the discharge very soon. Can the judgments be removed from the court records and also the credit report? I heard they can but don't know how to go about this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

They can't.

However, the judgment can be 'set aside' by the court if it is included, and discharged, in bankruptcy. Have your attorney review and file a motion with the court.

It will NOT be removed from the credit report as it is accurate, but COULD be noted as "Discharged by bankruptcy". Submit the court order to the CRA.

Actually you *might* be able to get the judgment off your credit reports, but it'll take some time.

First, get your lawyer to file the motion to vacate (set aside) the judgments due to your bankruptcy. Once that happens, and its successful, wait 30-60 days and then dispute the judgments on your credit reports. Once the judgments are vacated, the CRA's can't verify them and if they can't verify, then they must delete the entries from your reports. Many people have been successful with this.

I can't imagine why a CRA can't verify that a judgment was rendered, then vacated. The set aside of the judgment doesn't remove it from the courts records. The fact of the judgment will remain.... only that it was included in bankruptcy and vacated due to the order of the bankruptcy court.

JetX, I can't tell you WHY the CRA's can't or don't verify, I can only tell you that it has worked for many people across 3 different boards I frequent.
