Court tomorrow

What is the name of your state? OH

I have to testify in court tomorrow for my neighbor. Long story short- Her ex came to her house in the middle of the night and put a HUGE spotlight on her house from the street and started demanding his kids come outside and talk to him. (They are in a constant fight over the kids) Needless to say the spot light woke up my household which is how we became involved. The police came and eventually came and asked us what we heard, saw, etc. Her ex saw me and starting yelling at me that he was going to come and kill me when I least expect it, and knew of many people that would hurt me. I've never really formally met him.

I got my sobpoena and am headed for court in the morning, gladly. Her neighbors on the other side of her house were served sobpoena's as well, but I was the only one threatened by him.

My question is should I seek some kind of legal protection from him? The police heard everything he said to me. Guess I'm just looking for opinions...

A personal protection order/restraining order might very well be in order here....obviously dad is nuts.

He threatened to kill- he caused the trouble, not you. Good Luck

I'm a little curious about why you didn't ask this question/get a restraining order when he made the threats. I'm guessing it's been awhile, right?
