I unfortunately dated the owner of the company I used to work for. I had to quit yesterday due to all of the emotional stress and tears. Bottom line: His (boss) ex girlfriend also works there. She has approched him and stated that she wants him back and he has turned her down. When she found out that I was dating him, she started to spread awful rumors about me that were sexual in nature and completely false. I guess if she couldn'e have him, she didn't want me to have him either. Completely malicious. She also told the groom at a wedding we had both attended that I said something to the videographer about my sexual relationship with him (groom). Also a lie. She then walked into my boss yesterday and told him that I was telling the office that he was a violent drunk. The entire department that I work with does not talk to me, nor include me on anything. Everyday I would walk into some new rumor of things I supposedly did or said. My boss and I have not dated in quite some time now. I have gone to him also and told him of the things that were happening and he knows for a fact that the problems include this woman. Nothing has been done to stop it. I can no longer work in that kind of environment. Are there any legal actions I can take? I am now unemployed as of yesterday and would like some sort of restitution made by either her or the company I worked for who did NOTHING to stop this. Thank you for your help and time! :)
