What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I need some clarification please.

My husband called CPS on his ex. It was over a month ago. The CPS lady called me, my mom, my dad along with my husband and his ex and whoever she had them talk too.
I was very helpful as she asked me for any concerns. I would email her concerns from time to time and because my husband called CPS we dealt with some very negative feedback from his ex along with some slander and violence.

My husband talked to her last night and she said she was closing the case since his ex did not do anything illegal.
Today I got an email from her asking for information on a child named Caleb. I replied I dont know any Calebs. Then she responded saying oops wrong client, I meant your son. I then again replied why would she need that. Is there a case on my son?
She said No he is part of the case as my husband's daughter's sibling and will be used as collateral from here on out. So I gave her my address as she asked for that as well and his first name. She wanted his DOB and full name which I have not yet given her.
If she is closing the case why would she need his info? Also the case was against my stepdaughters mother who means nothing to my son. He is only their sibling through my husband. Im confused why a 10 month old would be collateral for anything? Can someone please clarify?

I have been so helpful to this point. I just dont see any relevance why my son needs to be involved at all!! I know the girl is new but can someone please let me know what collateral is or why a 10 month old should be one????

THANKS

There's so much "this doesn't sound right" here that I can't even begin to comment.

Im sorry...OK

A case is being closed on my stepdaughter's whose mother was the person being investigated .... My husband and I have a 10 month old and now as she says the case is being closed wants my sons information to use him as collateral for my stepdaughters in the future.
My son has nothing to do with my husbands ex or the investigation? Do I have to give the information to her?
I did not want my sons name in any reports!

You are great about dishing, gossiping and digging the dirt around your hubby's ex but now you want to close your mouth when it comes to your household. Got it. You have issues. Expect CSB to be investigating you and your household due to your "helpfulness" aka interference.

Your son has everything to do with his father though - wouldn't it make sense to investigate both sets of parents and the other children in the households?
