What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

I sold an item that I bought at a store and know to be authentic on CL. When the purchaser came to pick it up, I insisted that he look the item over. I even opened the box as a prompt but he just closed it and paid me. Three days later a woman who claimed to be the person’s girlfriend contacted me stating that the item was fake. During the course of the conversation, she later revealed to me that the item did not fit & that was a concern along with it being fradulent:confused:. Now the person is trying to get a refund from me and I do not want to take the item back because I am not sure if they have replaced my item with a fake one. I do not want to be stuck holding the ball on this.

What is my obligation if any? I am not a US native and will be returning to my country after the holiday and I would like to resolve this.

A: Tell them to come to your country and sue you.
