What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MN
My boyfriend recently purchased a boat from a seller on craigslist for $1300. He bought the boat thinking that the motor ran well. He knew the interior would require some work. When he went to go look at the boat nothing appeared to be wrong. He took the boat home hooked it up to water and saw that the engine block was cracked. The motor is no good and would cost more than the boat is worth to fix. He contacted the seller and informed him of the situation. The seller told him that he would not refund his money or take the boat back. The boat was purchased under false pretenses and I was wondering if there is anything that can be done to get his money back?
Thanks,
Liz
