What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma

Hello, I recently purchased a computer from someone on craigslist for 1250$. The person I purchased the computer from was supposed to ship it out from Hawaii. I sent him the money over Western Union and talked to the individual over the phone several times. The first thing that flagged my suspicion was him having me send the money to his girlfriend. A few days later he told me that the package should be arriving any day. I waited a few more days then tried to call him to get the correct tracking number and his number had been changed. I have a print out of the craigslist post, western union receipts and his/his girlfriend’s name. Is there anything I am able to do? Thanks

The first hint of the scam should have been Western Union. Western Union transfers can be picked up at hundreds if not thousands of locations. It is so sad to say, but you can kiss your hard-earned money good bye.

You would have been much better off going to Best Buy and purchasing a brand new computer.

Why do you think Craigslist posts warnings to not buy from out of state sellers? Kiss your money goodbye.
