What is the name of your state? pa... i bought a used 2000 cavalier z24 in jan, from a local dealership. since i have had it, i have had many, many , many things go wrong with it. i found out last week that the car had been in an accident and the front end was smushed (all of the problems that i have had with it invole headlights, foglights, oil leakage, alternator, starter... etc. all in the front end) let me also point out that i am a female. i paid almost three times what the car was worth (found that out last week also). my question is, can i do anything about it? the service department was supposed to order a piece to fix the foglights two weeks ago, and never contacted me. when i contacted them, they said they would get back to me. it has been another full week and i have heard nothing. tonight, my headlights went and my service engine light came on. could this car be considered a lemon? didn't they have to tell me that the car was in an accident? also, they sold me an extended warranty but never told me that it was not thru gm. when i test drove the car with the salesman, i did notice some creaking noise that the front end was making, but he told me that it was "some kind of special suspension system" that is in a 00 z24. all of the repairs that they have done, they have charged to my extended warranty of which i have to pay a deductible. please help, i am at my wits end.

Kristel:

This is correct, you are a female, and most females are totally clueless when it comes to money. And getting good value for their money.

This is not a fault of the dealership, this is a fault of your parental upbringing and lack of a proper education. (your parents never taught you how to be cheap)

--i did notice some creaking noise that the front end was making----
That would have been a big red flag...for a MAN!

I would highly suggest you find the time to learn how to use the computer to gain knowledge and information and prices of the item, BEFORE you make anymore big purchaes with your money. If you dont then this will happen to you again, and again, and again, then you will probably have to file for bankruptcy.

This has nothing to do with gender. You really should keep that kind of stuff out of it.
It has to do with being an educated consumer, and being able to confidently say NO to someone that's trying to pressure you into something. That's why salesguys pick on the uneducated consumer.
Better lucky next time.
