A department store that I have had an account with for 11 years sold one of their store locations to another department store a couple of weeks ago and sold my credit account with it. This company is not going out of business, they just sold this one store location. Don't they have to give me some kind of notification, such as 30 days notice, before selling my account so that I can have the opportunity to close my account and pay it off before a new company gets it? I now live in Tennessee, but the store location is in Louisiana.
