Credit card collection via CA

What is the name of your state? NC

If a Collection agency is collecting on a charged off credit card; is it true the max they can go for is the credit limit of the card. For example 1800.00 is due on a credit limit of 300.00.... Please advise.

No it is not true that the most they can collect is the original credit limit.

In NC, the SOL is 3 years
