I recently had a fraudulent charge put on my crdit card with "Fleet". The charge went into dispute, I filled out a form they sent me and sent it back to the credit card company. I was disatisfied with the customer service on another matter so I payed my real blance in full and closed my account. A month later I got a bill with the diaputed charge again. I called the credit card company and the customer service person said they never got back the form I filled out regarding the dispute and that is why the charge was put back on. I reguested another form since I never made the purchase to begin with and they refused to send me the form. I was told that I had to write a letter explaining that I never made the $1700 purchase. I wrote a letter. This month I received another bill! I was told that even though it was a fraudulent charge that Fleet credit card company had the right to charge me interest on the $1700 plus a late fee of $29 and that I owe them $142! Can they get away with doing this? Could this ruin my credit rateing, which is escellent? Someone please help, the Fleet credit card company customer service won't. What should I do?

Steve Halket I sincerely thank you for your advice. I will send a registered letter to Fleet credit card company and I filed a complaint on-line with the FTC. If I don't get resolution after I send the registered letter I will seek to find an attorney. Thank you again I am very grateful for your help with this matter.
