One of my co-workers was caught in the act of credit card fraud. This happened in the state of New Jersey. Basically he was getting stolen credit card numbers from a source that seemed to be working inside the credit card company (I am unsure of that). But anyhow, they were caught when they went to the safe house to pick up the merchandise. That is all I know about the situation.

What are the legal consequences that he will face, oh and will the fact that he is not 18 years old yet change anything. What kind of charges will he be facing and what can a good lawyer do?

Thanks

Hello Error,

I've been stewing over this one because it makes me so mad; but I'll be positive here. Your friend needs to own up to what he did - He needs to take his medicine. He hurt a lot of people by what he's done and what is really sad is that he would probably still be doing this today if he didn't get caught.

He should really do the right thing and tell prosecutors where he got his information. Things might go better for him if he does.
