credit card in boyfriends name

I just went through a brake up with my boyfriend, we lived together for seven years we have a son that is 17 years old. My boyfriend left and moved to another state. When we lived together I got a credit card in his name that he does not know about. I went to make a payment online and the card is under investigation. What can the credit card company do to me. I plan on continuing ot make payments until it is paid off. I don't know if my boyfriend knows about it, I have no idea where he is other than somewhere in california. I live in Oregon.

It's not what the credit card company can do -- it is what they can get the police to do if the conclude you committed fraud. If he didn't authorize it it may be fraud. Any lawyer would tell you, admit nothing. Pay off the bill, fast!
