I recently (on May 27th ) sent a letter
to a credit card/finance company dis-
puting some charges on my bill. I
am disputing the charges because of
the extremely poor quality of some
dental work I had done.

Yesterday, I received a bill from them
for the whole amount of the work.
I thought when you are disputing a
charge on your bill, they aren't sup-
posed to try to collect the amount
that's in dispute, just the amount that
isn't.

Also, doesn't the finance company have
a certain amount of time in which they
have to respond to my complaint? 30
days? 60 days? By the way, I live in
North Carolina.

Any input at all that you could give
me about this would be appreciated.
Thank you trememdously!
