My partner is the sole investor in our business. He's currently power of attorney over one of his relatives, where he's a signer on her credit card accounts. I need to know what liability he has to pay back these cards in respect to the business. IF these credit cards are let go and not paid, is he liable to pay these debts if his relative dies, or becomes incapable of paying these debts off? Or does the liability die with the relative? I don't want creditors to be able to come after the business to collect debts that he may be liable for by being power of attorney.
