What is the name of your state? florida
My son is being sentenced for violation of probation.
He served three months probation prior to violating.
Does he get any credit for that, what is the norm?

I think you get some credit, but not much. It would vary from court to court and how much of the original probation was competed. He probably will end up serving most of the original jail time he should have originally served.

My response (as amended):

[I think you get some credit, but not much. It would vary from court to court and how much of the original probation was competed. You're also at fault to society due to your lousy parenting skills.

Gee, thanks so very much.

No

I do not think he will receive any credit.

It's kinda like owing $15,999 on a car and making one payment and claiming it is now yours.

He received probation in lieu of a larger fine or jail time for the original offense...good try though.
