What is the name of your state? California
!
I just had a fellow colleague come to me at work and asked me for help. She told me that she was trying to get financed for something and the lady informed her that there were two additional ssn under her name and a couple of delinquint accounts. She was only told the name of one account. I immediately got online and gave her the number to the three CRA's fraud alert numbers and the number to the one company. I told her she needed to call them immediately and tell them what was going on. Is there anything else that I can help her do in the meantime? Thanks

First thing she should do is get a copy of her credit report.
See what other SSN are being reported.

Is it a matter of a number or two transposed?
I see them commonly for example…SSN should be 123-45-6789 and
it will show 123-54-6789 – a human at one point put in this information
and the potential for error is there.

Has she had joint accounts with anyone? Husband, child, or parent?
Sometimes those SSN will be reported with hers also.

Does she have a common name? (i.e. Mary Jones)

What is/are the delinquent account(s)?

What she really needs to do is get a copy of her credit report from
ALL THREE credit reporting agencies (since they can differ widely)
and see what they are reporting.

As sad as it is, many times cases of fraud are done by a family member.

I see it almost daily.

Hope this helps

The lady couldnt give her too much information. All I know is what I was told. One of the addresses they gave her under a different ssn was a couple houses down from hers and she is not married and doesnt have any kids so who knows. I just hope this gets worked out for her. It must of happened just recently cause she bought a car a couple of months back.
