I have been having some problems with my land lady and I was wondering if she can affect my credit history in any way. I guess she can always sue me and win the court. But what i wonder is, is there a land lords network that she can put a bad word for me?

Yes, there are various procedures that landlords can follow. If you do not pay:

1) you do not get a positive reference when you rent the next time or anytime, if this landlord is called.

2) the landlord can take you to court and get a judgement against you which will be in court records and may appear on your credit report.

3) the landlord can write to major credit reporting agencies and establish a credit reference as a creditor.

4) depending on the county, state etc. that you are in, there could be a network RentCheck sort of thing for landlords. Whereby the company does a credit history check on propective tenants for a fee. There is already a couple companies that offer services throughout the entire US over the internet.
