What is the name of your state? PA

If a landlord charges me for a credit report to be run prior to my renting am I entitled to a copy of the report if I have to pay for it? Also, I wonder if my current landlord is required to give me the original credit report she ran on me, it has only been six months and not much has changed and I'd like a copy of it.

You have started THREE other threads on your rental problems.

Keep all your questions in one of those.

renters,

Sorry to tell you, but the landlord absolutely CANNOT give you, your own credit report. Even if you pay for it or not, it is under strict guidelines by the credit bureau that landlords are not allowed to give out your information to anyone and the reports are only intended for business use only.

Basically the only thing that landlord can do in conclusion to checking your credit report is to tell you, yes you have been accepted or no, you have been denied. Landlords cannot ask you anything else about your credit report. IE lets say you paid a phone bill late one day back in january, a LL specifically cannot say "hey what happened back in janury with so and so" BUT you can obtain a copy of your record and say while pointing to your OWN copy "well this right here, i paid late because of such and such." So in effect, it's like you have to bring it to their attention and NOT the other way around.

I'm not a lawyer, so anyone can feel free to correct me if i'm wrong.
